about Double Take

Vroni Holzmann continues to run a project for women who are finding that being a mother can be challenging in many different ways:
"If you are feeling life with a baby or toddler is a struggle, then come along to this event. The drop-in day will provide you with a free photo session and print, an image of your child to cherish for many years. There will also be the chance to speak to like-minded mums who may be facing similar challenges.
You may be a lone parent like me, or face difficulties with ill health, you may be a very young or older mum, have trouble bonding with your child or simply feel it all can be too much some times. There are many more reasons for a mother to feel run-down or isolated and I would like to provide those mothers with a service they may be too busy to organise or unable to afford.
If this is of interest to you, please get in touch with me or just drop in on the day."

BABY AND CHILD FRIENDLY CAFES IN EDINBURGH:

Susi's Diner, West Nicholson Street
The Forest Cafe, Bristo Place
The Royal Musem of Scotland, Chamber Street
Waterstones Bookstore, Princesstreet
(they have a children's books area where the wee one can read books while the cafe above supplies hot drinks)

Hot Tip:
Try cafe areas in hotels for an enjoyable cup of tea or coffee with your wee one.
As hotels are so used to have children stay the staff are often very friendly and sometimes they have crayons, too.
